Someone thinks a local business can help you.

A friend who uses Mouf recommended a business for something you need. Mouf is checking with you first, because nobody is passed to a business without saying yes.

To answer, open the link in the email we sent you. It's yours alone, and it works for 7 days after we send it.

What happens next

  1. You got one email

    It says who recommended you and which business, and asks one question: can they contact you?

  2. Say yes, and the business gets in touch

    We share your name, email and phone number with that one business, so it can contact you about what you need.

  3. Say no, and that's the end of it

    Nothing is shared. If you don't answer, nothing is shared either.

  4. We check it went well

    If you said yes, we may email a few times to ask whether the business reached you and how it went. You can sign up for text updates if you'd rather.

You stay in control

Nothing shared without your yes

The business can't see anything about you until you agree. Your friend sees whether you said yes and whether the business took it on, nothing more.

Never sold

Mouf doesn't sell personal information, and your details go only to the one business you said yes to.

Stop any time

Every email has a link to stop all referrals through Mouf. Texts only come if you sign up for them yourself, and STOP ends them.

Questions people ask

How did Mouf get my email address?
From the friend who recommended the business. Before sending a referral they confirm they have your permission to share your details. If that's not right, tell us and we'll stop.
Is this spam?
No. It's one email about a recommendation from someone you know. We won't send you marketing.
Does it cost anything?
No. Mouf is free for the people who get referred.
I don't want these emails.
Use the "Stop all referrals" link at the bottom of our email, and nobody will be able to refer you through Mouf again. You can also email admin@mouf.app.
What does the business do with my details?
It uses them to contact you about the request your friend described. Read our privacy policy for the full picture.
